The Joy of Sleep

Ever since we arrived in Canada last week A has not been taking particularly good naps. I mean I certainly don't blame the kid, since we flew her across the country, put her in a pack and play in a strange bedroom, then carted her to wine country for a few days then back here again.

So yesterday when she went down after lunch, around 12:30 and slept till 3:30 (a normal nap length for her at home) we had a different kid! Gone was the tired, grumpy, mommy's girl and out came our funny, laughing, silly daughter.

I have always known what a difference a nap can make for her but I never have seen the build up of so many poor naps in a row. I am so happy to have our sweet, little girl back...even though it is a day before we head home.

  1. My girls have a terrible time adjusting to new destinations. My parents even have their exact same cribs and a room for them. Everything the same...and they still won't sleep. Glad she napped for you!

  2. Yay naps! Whenever we are away from home Babe will only nap if she's held. Sometimes she'll let us put her down once she's fast asleep but other times we just have to deal with holding her. It's worth it though to get back the angel instead of the devil! :-)
