Weekend Recap

What a  weekend...

We started off with a mellow night on Friday hanging out with A's godparents...where we all had so much fun sipping wine, catching up on the holidays, and of course running around with A. After we put A to bed, it was time to kick back and enjoy some quality adult time. Court and I cooked up some delicious coconut shrimp over mango brown rice and paired it with frost kissed artichokes on the side. Dinner was delicious, and it was so nice to sit back and relax a little with friends that are like family.

Saturday was another nice day of swinging by the new house and taking A to the playground since it was almost 60 degrees! I swear you could actually feel spring in the air :)

Then it was on to Sunday-Funday! We started with a yummy breakfast out with A's other set of godparents before a much needed trip to the zoo! It has been so long since the weather has been nice enough to enjoy the giraffes, penguins, goats, and more and I am not sure who was more excited today as we raced from one exhibit to another.

We finished off the weekend perfectly, with a sushi dinner at my sister's house with all A's cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.

There is nothing better than a weekend of relaxing family time to make the long winter months seem that much closer to spring.

Present Exchange

Today was our Holiday lunch and present exchange with my girlfriends and all the kids.

It started off like any other Friday...we all trekked to the mall for our workout, which involved a little more talking than actual sweating today. Then it was time to head down and see the music story time they have on the first floor, conveniently located right next to Santa. After a little dancing, from the kids not us, we steered the kids away from "scary Santa" and headed to tiny town to let them run around. As you can imagine, getting four toddlers to do anything together is always a challenge, not to mention getting them all to stay relatively still in the same area for a picture. But today was our lucky day!

About 20 minutes later when a new wave of kids came in to play, we headed upstairs to exchange gifts and have lunch. The presents were perfect, the food was good, and the kids...well they were kids!

Happy Holidays!
