Book Club

Recently, my three BMF's (best mom friends) and I decided we would start our very own book club. Although we came to the decision quickly, sitting around a high top bar table sipping Cabernet and chatting about the latest and greatest preschools, we had a much harder time finding a book to read. Which, I am pretty sure, is due to the fact that we just wanted a legitimate excuse to tell our husbands why we needed to get together once a month and chat and drink wine!

After looking through numerous book club lists and searching all over Amazon, we finally decided on a very light read, You Can't Drink All Day If You Don't Start In The Morning. Now, don't get me wrong, I love trashy books just as much as the next girl, but for some reason I couldn't get into this one. I think because there was no storyline, so each chapter was about 15 pages of random ranting, which is exactly like a blog (except a whole lot longer) but for some reason it just didn't do it for me.

But regardless of my non-interest in our last book we set a "book club" date! And this past Wednesday night my BMF's and I met for a two hour, delicious Thai dinner, than didn't include more than one minute of book talk. We laughed over wine, whispered about the latest scandal to hit town, and had the very best time!

I think the saying holds perfectly true for our little group..."Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things."
