Dinner By Boat

Last night my sisters and I decided it would be fun to go out to dinner, just the 6 of us (husbands and the three of us of course), so we started throwing out options. Azu? Great restaurant in Mystic, but always super crowded and loud...nah. How about Dog Watch? Another fun restaurant on the water, but doesn't take reservations and it was a Friday night...nope. Skippers Dock? Mellow and fun restaurant right on the water in Stonington....done! Then we had the best idea...let's take the boat over.

So at 7pm we all biked down to the dock with sweatshirts in our baskets and roadies in our hands. After a few strategic maneuvers we were on our way for the 20 ish minute boat ride across the sound. Dinner was amazing, not because the food was great, because it wasn't, but the experience made the evening.
Here we are, 7pm!

Leaving our harbor...why is the picture fuzzy, because my cell is in a plastic bag to keep it safe!

Safety to the wind...check out our view over.

Here we are, blowing in the breeze!

My job was bow line. Check!

A perfect tie up job...nice work Seth.

Our tables awaits...

Doesn't it just make you want to drink more?

A view from our dinner table.

A super fun sister night!

After a few bottles of wine and a round of mudslides in plastics cups for the way home, we threw our sweatshirts back on and zoomed home in the dark having nothing but a half moon and GPS guiding our way.

How much better is dinner when you can be with your sisters and take a boat over and back...so much.
